For the Scottish Terrier to take home the Best in Show prize at the Westminster Dog Show the odds are 18 to 1 (according to Las Vegas odds maker Johnny Avello)

Here’s the scoop on the 30th ANNIVERSARY OF FALA DAY

EVENT: Celebrating Fala and FDR – held by the REAL Scottish Terrier Club of Greater Atlanta. The club will honor Fala where he walked. This year will mark the 30th Annual event paying tribute to the most famous of all presidential dogs.

WHERE: The Little White House Historical Site *This is where the event originated 30 years ago.

Lacy’s Legacy Rescue 2013 annual reunion

Angus was honored today at the annual picnic at the Carver County Fairgrounds as a member of the class of 2013 from Lacy’s Legacy Scottie and Westie Rescue at All of the Westies and Scotties were there who found their furever homes. Winston came along to cheer Angus on!

St. Pat’s Day Parade in Maple Lake

Lacy’s Legacy, Scottie and Westie rescue organization, is hosting it’s annual St. Patricks Day Parade Saturday, March 16, 11 AM in Maple Lake, MN: Here’s how it works…..If you have a Scottie, Westie or Cairn you are welcome to march with us! 11:00 We will meet and gather as a group for a grilled lunch 12:30 We will walk together to the parade line up area 1:30 Parade begins! MSD Angus is looking forward to seeing his foster family and marching with the Irish on their special day!

(The cost is FREE however Lacy’s Legacy will be accepting free will offerings to
cover the cost of the food and for future rescue expenses).See flyer for details.

Plans to attend Wis Scots

The Modern Scottie Dogs Brandy and Duffy are tuning up the camper and are hoping to make the drive to the neighboring state to attend the annual Midwest Scottie meet-up, Wis ScotsSunday, Oct. 14 , 2012 at Hotel Mead in Wis Rapids, WI. They’re bringing their furiend Stuart of The Scottie Chronicles, and Thunder-Shirt-campaign-runner-up-fame, too! Stuart’s travel bag includes green beans, some fresh cow toes and his trusty travel pillow! MSD has packed their camera chew toys, treats, toothbrushes, and sleep-tights.

Details for the event: The theme this year is “Naughty Scottie”.  There will be buying and selling of numerous Scottie Items! Events include Show and Tell, Theme Displays and The White Elephant Scottie gift Exchange. As always, be sure to bring your Scottie dogs for the annual “Howl-o-Ween” Fashion show.  To book a room, contact HOTEL MEAD at 1-800-843-6323. Registration Deadline is Oct. 10, 2012 Cost is $24.00 per guest.
